Sea-Ramics Studio Of The Arts
Lori Merritt-Sea is a young artist that resides in central Illinois with her husband, Robert and daughter, Katelyn.  Lori has a passion in her heart for art and also has the ability to express her dreams and passions with a paintbrush and touch of expression.

Setting realistic goals in art has enabled her to climb from art hobbyist to professional artist.  Her many talents combine to permit her to express her wishes, desires, thoughts and most of all dreams.

Sea grew up in a small, rural community that instilled wholesome, country values in her heart.  From childhood, Lori has expressed herself with art and in adulthood, she continues to do the same.  Lori believes that honest, integrity and respect are important values to have when dealing with both everyday life, as well as in business ventures.

Lori's first goal was to have one design published in greeting card format.  She not only achieved that goal, but surpassed it with the publication of thirteen greeting card designs.  An exclusive line of greeting cards that are continueally being marketed today.  Lori has also had corporate commissions to design company greeting cards.  Another achievement on Lori's goal list.

Living in central Illinois permits Lori to induldge in the vast array of wildlife species, from researching and sketching to painting.  Wildlife is a large part of her subject matter, althought, Lori enjoys painting beautiful florals, romantic still lifes and vibrant landscapes.

The ability to paint and draw is enhanced with the additional talent of scratchart.  Her beautifully detailed scratchart designs are themselves elegant and alive.  From defining the most minute detail of a ducks feather to rendering an Eagle's reflective eye, Lori captures these traits in each of her scratchart designs.

Award winning art competitions and solo art exhibits has been a vital part of Lori's art career and will continue to provide her with discipline, respect and recognition in the art field.  Lori enjoys donating her works to those organizations that can benefit from the value of her talents, such as children's organizations, wildlife and habitat forums and school funding programs.  Her works have always proved to be marketable in both charity and professional roles
